Morten Kvammen

Morten is an infrastructure financing and strategy specialist with a long track record of engagement delivery in SE Asia and other emerging markets.

As Regional Director for Misca Advisors and its subsidiary Competitive Advantage, and based in Cambodia since 2008, Morten has led infrastructure and built environment related strategies, policy and regulatory reforms to encourage solar and wind renewables growth, decarbonisation of energy sector and adoption of EVs, working with regional energy and transportation ministries. He has also advised on financing for development of urban/peri-urban water supply and renewable energy grids. 

He was a founder of Cambodia Capital, one of the first financial firms licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia. In his role as Managing Director, he built from scratch and led a 20-person strong organisation and managed the merger of Cambodia Capital with SBI Securities. He also led the transaction advisory team for several corporate finance and private equity transactions to raise funding for companies ranging from start-up technology companies to large established telecom operators and State-owned Enterprises (SOEs), including the $421 million financing of Cellcard, Cambodia’s largest mobile operator.

Morten started his professional career in investment banking in New York, London, and the Middle East with a focus on late-stage growth capital and pre-IPO transactions for companies in the infrastructure sector.
