For manufacturers of building products, the specifier sector is extremely influential and important. With over 18,000 architects’ offices in the UK, employing around 57,000 specifiers it represents a large group of decision makers who you need to understand and engage with. It is also a market which is changing how it works and gathers information in response to the pandemic.
We regularly conduct bespoke market research on behalf of building product manufacturers. But while projects of this nature can provide extremely comprehensive information about a target sector they require a lot of resource and the price reflects this.
For the manufacturer who only wants one or two questions answered a cost-effective alternative is an omnibus survey.
This provides an opportunity to ask one or more questions of the target decision makers. A cost-effective method of gathering a small amount of information, it is ideal when a full bespoke research project is not required. Questions might cover a variety of marketing issues or unanswered business questions. The answers can provide a valuable insight which can inform business decision making. And findings remain confidential to the individual subscriber, with each company receiving a personalised report containing just their research findings.
Competitive Advantage are planning an Architects Omnibus during Summer 2023. Comprising 100 interviews with Architects’ Practices, it is an opportunity for you to gather information in a cost-effective manner.
There will be no more than 12 questions, which probably means just 6 manufacturer subscribers, so if you want to take advantage of this opportunity you need to contact us now.
Methodology
Competitive Advantage will invite companies to pose questions, closing invitations when we have a maximum of 12 questions. This limit is to ensure the survey remains compelling for the respondent, so they give every question a considered response. We will work with participating companies agreeing the final format of their question/s to ensure effectiveness. Then we will develop a questionnaire which provides a logical grouping of questions. This makes it easier for the respondent to follow and provide considered replies.
100 telephone interviews will be conducted by an experienced researcher, familiar with gathering information from architects and the specialist terms used in the construction industry. The identity of the company commissioning the question/s remains confidential.
Respondents will be architects currently working on projects at the contractor appointed stage, to include the top 20 practices and a mix of practices across London and the rest of the UK. These will be identified using the industry’s leading provider of construction intelligence, Barbour ABI. This provides a representative and impartial selection of respondents for the survey.
Costs
The price for questions in this survey will be:
- Single closed question – £800.00+VAT
- Single open question – £850.00+VAT
- Purchase of 2 questions – 5% discount
- Purchase of 3 or more questions – 10% discount
